Hillcrest Update

Advent Season has arrived!  We look forward to this weekend's Christmas Concert at Bethel Church on Saturday and Sunday Evening. Mr. Strom and Mr. Doering have worked hard with our student musicians to prepare for this community event. You are very welcome to attend either or both performances.

I will be visiting the Danielsen School in Bergen, Norway this week. I have opportunity to meet with 5 classes of sophomores there and talk with potential students for next year's group to HLA from Bergen.

HLA students are concluding their first semester of coursework. Finals in various classes will be given Monday-Wednesday, December 15-17. Christmas vacation begins after school on Wednesday, December 17th, with classes resuming on January 5, 2004

The HLA Board of Directors has authorized the formation of a new Parent Advisory Team for Hillcrest. This group will become an active part of an important communication forum as we begin the new year. I will keep you informed on progress over the next few weeks.

The basketball season has also begun for boys and girls. Come out and enjoy these evening events, not only to support these teams, but to enjoy the parent fellowship that seems to always take place at these events too.
