Hillcrest
Update
Principal Steve Brue
July, 2004
Graduation 2004 is now a memory for the 63 seniors who
received their diplomas, and for those of us who witnessed
this accomplishment. I am certain that the Lord has a
promising future for these young adults, knowing that if
they seek him, they will find him, as they seek him with all
of their hearts. Jeremiah’s words are good words for each
of us as well.
Following graduation, an annual report
was prepared for Minnesota Non-public Schools Accrediting
Association (MNSAA) where HLA is accredited. Additionally,
an annual report was presented to the delegation at the
Annual Convention of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren of
America. The HLA Board of Directors met on the Hillcrest
campus on June 17-18 to review the proposed 2004-05 budget
and to direct the school to begin construction on the
Student Activities Center.
Jeff Isaac and his family have moved to
Fergus Falls. He begins his administrative role as
Vice-Principal in mid-July. He and his family are a
welcomed addition to our community and school. Please
remember to pray for him in his new calling.
Applications are being processed for
the new school year. We look forward to another group of
students from the Danielsen School of Bergen, Norway. We
also will have a good number of students from South Korea
enrolled again in the fall. By the way, it’s not too late
to apply. Maybe you know someone that would be a blessing
to the HLA student body and could encourage them to consider
Hillcrest for this fall. We appreciate your referrals.
God has been faithful in our lives this
past year. We ask him to lead us as we plan for the new
year. He has led us into exciting summer days with
expansion on our campus. We trust him with our needs, and
move forward with hope.
Thank you for your encouragement and
generosity! Have a blessed summer!
