IT Coordinator

Job Summary

The IT Coordinator maintains classroom technology, the campus network, and user support services.  The position demonstrates enthusiasm and advocacy for Hillcrest in all interactions; and ensures technology services at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy are appropriate, highly dependable, and secure.

Position Requirements

  • Reflect the purpose of the school; honoring Christ in your interaction with students, parents, and employees

  • Aid in strategic planning for the development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems, security systems, and administrative software

  • Serve as a member of the creative team, event production, and the live-streaming coordinator

  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals

  • Assist with developing and evaluating technology policies; staying current on technology developments

  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans

  • Serve as primary administrator for user account provisioning

  • Assist with the department budget; communicate with Finance spending needs

  • Maintain campus network

  • Subject matter expert of current School Information System (SIS)

  • Serve as primary contact and dispatch for user support

  • Negotiate with vendors regarding contracts, pricing, and implementation, presenting analysis to supervisor

  • Identify and plan training needs for employees

  • Serve as administrator for bell/clock systems, business machines/equipment, security and access control systems, and administrative software

  • Oversee application software updates to maintain functionality and security

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and advocacy for Hillcrest in all interactions

  • Strong commitment to private Christian education

  • Follow Matthew 18 principles regarding questions, concerns, or problems

  • Perform other related and non-related tasks as assigned

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Programming or Computer Science; or

  • Two or more years of comparable work experience

  • Proficient experience with Google Apps and Microsoft Office

  • Previous experience with information data processing systems, local area networks, multimedia, event production, and telecommunications

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

  • Able to move safely over various terrain, between buildings, up/down stairs

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annual salary, year-round position

  • Benefits: Eligible for full-time benefits package
